Job Title : Senior Assembler Developer

Experience : 5 to 15 years

Location : Pune

In this role, youll be part of a new engineering team, and tackle high-impact challenges to enhance product functionality and reliability and deliver exceptional value to our customers. Your role will involve addressing critical issues in our software as well as enhancing the product with supportability, reliability & new functionalities. You will collaborate with globally distributed teams and play a pivotal role in ensuring our software meets the highest quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• You will join a new engineering team, focused on maintaining and enhancing Mainframe mission-critical software
• You will develop, test, and implement diagnostic tools and processes to enhance product supportability
• You will contribute to APARs development cycles, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance
• You will be actively engaged on customer escalated issues working with L1 / L2 support on a need basis to diagnose and fix those issues.
• You will develop new functions to enhance the product. This includes both addressing technical debt as well as adding new functionality
• You will take ownership of specific technical tasks and drive them to completion with a sense of urgency
• You will continuously learn and contribute to the growth of the team through sharing knowledge and best practices
• You will work cross-functionally to ensure software quality meets customer :
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing & maintaining Assembler code
• Coding experience in z / Assembler
• Capable of having technical discussions and problem analysis with customers
• Result-driven, problem-solver at heart
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and collaboration to have :
• Proficiency in Mainframe z / OS environment including JCL, JES2(3), SMS and z / OS internals.
• Capable of analyzing a dump using IPCS
• Knowledge in SMP / E
• Experience with Unix System Services and Language Environment
• Experience working in an enterprise product-based company.
