TITLE : Infrastructure Ops Engineer –JAMF PRO
Location : Bangalore, IN (1b, Ecospace Internal Rd, Bellandur, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560103, India)
Onsite : Hybrid (2 days)
Duration : 6 months CTH
Key Areas of Responsibility include :
- Mac Workstation Computing
- Manage and support Mac workstations using JAMF Pro.
- Implement and maintain JAMF policies, profiles, and scripts.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Provide 2nd / 3rd level support for Mac clients.
- JAMF Pro Administration and Operations :
- Install & administer JAMF Pro server software.
- Monitor application performance against accepted parameters.
- Implement appropriate actions to control, correct, or improve JAMF performance.
- Perform routine maintenance operations on the application (daily / weekly checks).
- Ensure integrity of JAMF database.
- Perform updates to the JAMF application as required (patches, hotfixes, service packs).
- JAMF Pro Support and Trouble Management :
- Respond to, analyse, resolve, and close Problem support tasks resulting from customer contact with the help desk and application monitoring. (Level 1 support)
- Respond to, analyse, resolve, and close Work Request support tasks resulting from customer requests to the help desk. (Level 1 Support)
- Execute disaster recovery procedures for JAMF Pro servers.
- Identify appropriate corrective action. (CLCA)
- Provide 2nd / 3rd level support for JAMF clients.
- JAMF Pro Device / Profile Management :
- Create Configuration Profiles.
- Create Compliance Policies.
- Device Life Cycle Management.
- Enroll the mobile devices (iOS, macOS).
- Retire and Wipe Devices.
- Device Provisioning.
- Set ESP and other profiles for macOS.
- Company portal Branding.
- JAMF Pro Software Distribution :
- JAMF Application Creation and Deployment / Assignment.
- Upload and Configuring LOB applications (macOS, iOS / iPadOS).
- Convert packaged application to JAMF compatible file and upload it.
- Upload and Configuring Store applications (Apple).
- Deploy LOB / Store applications to a group of users (AAD) / computers / mobile devices (macOS, iOS / iPadOS).
- Monitor application deployment status.
- Group / s Management for deployment / s.
- Distribute JAMF packages to clients in all regions.
- Administer software metering.
- Distribute licensed software to individual clients.
- Add / Remove Packages and modify description of package that is displayed on the Self Service Portal.
- Provide 2nd-level support for software distribution problems.
- JAMF Pro Reporting :
- Provide hardware & software inventory reports.
- Provide software usage reports (software metering).
- Administer Web Reporting site (add custom reports).
- Customize hardware Inventory as per requirements.
- PowerBI reports.
- JAMF Pro Installation Organizing / Coordination :
- Coordinate administrative project activities, including scheduling, tracking, reporting, and change management, that impact components of the infrastructure.
- Complete metrics / utilization reporting on designated operational review cycles.
- JAMF Pro Technical Communications and Consulting :
- Present verbal and written technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Act as liaison or point of contact with customers, third parties, and internal organizations on technical issues.
- JAMF Pro Patching for managed workstations and servers :
- Manage patches for all workstations & non-ITS servers.
- Approve and package security updates deemed necessary by security.
- Test and deploy updates to workstations and servers on an approved roll out schedule.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS or associate degree / Technical Certification or equivalent job experience required.Minimum of 3 (Gr 9), 5 (Gr 10), 7 (Gr 11) years’ experience with macOS workstation management.Minimum of 3 (Gr 9), 5 (Gr 10), 7 (Gr 11) years of experience with macOS endpoint management utilizing industry standard tools.Minimum of 3 (Gr 9), 5 (Gr 10), 7 (Gr 11) years of experience using custom macOS Package creation and distribution.Minimum of 3 (Gr 9), 5 (Gr 10), 7 (Gr 11) years of experience in macOS interoperability with AD, LDAP, and Kerberos experience.Minimum of 3 (Gr 9), 5 (Gr 10), 7 (Gr 11) years of experience supporting client and server environments, printing / firewall / routing technologies, and industry standard networking technologies : (LAN / WAN, SMTP, VPN, DNS, DHCP).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience managing iOS and iPadOS devices.Experience with Beyond Trust.Experience with Crowdstrike Security Software.Experience with Azure Cloud Virtual Machine.Experience with scripting in Bash, Python, or compatible language.Experience of working in an international / large enterprise environment.
