Job Responsibilities :

Magnas Factory of the Future team is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help us build and maintain our cutting edge microservices based platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in DevOps engineering or in a similar software engineering role and be familiar with Python or NodeJS.

The DevOps Engineer will work with our engineering team to ensure the standards are followed and works as intended.

Responsibilities :

• Proactively identify performance improvements in areas like responsiveness, availability, and scale - especially for connected cloud and edge solutions utilizing Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or other container orchestration platforms.
• Design, build, and manage infrastructure on AWS with high availability, observability, and scalability in mind.
• Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines using best practices, including pipeline linting, policy enforcement, and automated testing.
• Build and manage Kubernetes resources including custom controllers and operators (preferably in Go), managing the lifecycle of edge / IoT applications.
• Implement GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD to manage Kubernetes environments declaratively.
• Integrate and maintain observability stacks (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry) to ensure comprehensive insight into infrastructure and application behavior.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure containerized applications are designed and deployed securely and reliably.
• Contribute to the evolution of platform architecture by developing reusable components and infrastructure patterns.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools, and make recommendations to improve automation, performance, and reliability.
