Senior Principal Business Consultant

Infosys Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Business Consultant to design solutions leveraging our diverse horizontal offerings, drive sales, and deliver value to clients in the Services, Utilities, Resources, and Energy sectors.

Responsibilities :

  • Ability to Lead and support sales efforts for new and existing clients in creation of proposals, preparation and facilitation of sales presentations, plan and participate in client meetings and discussions.
  • Anchor sales proposal preparation and engagement delivery efforts.
  • Provide Technology and Consulting Leadership within / outside the firm on trends around one or more of latest Digital technologies (Robotic Process Automation, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data technologies, Data Analytics, IoT etc.).
  • Lead and manage pursuits with large Oil & Gas / Utilities prospects, specifically articulating Infosys’ products, and services unique value proposition through practical use cases across the value chain.
  • Represent Infosys Consulting and present papers at industry conferences.
  • Experience in gathering, identifying, and documenting business requirement and creating functional specifications for new systems and processes
  • Experience in assessing as-is processes, doing gap analysis, creating to-be processes and making recommendations to implement changes. Experience in using Six Sigma, Lean, and other methodologies to drive continuous process improvement in technology projects.
  • Technology Project Management including managing technology vendors and client stakeholders.
  • Manage large projects and programs in a multi-vendor scenario and globally spread team and deliver the outcome leveraging Agile principle and applying DevOps capabilities.
  • Experience in setting up and running IT Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Manage, design, and implement leading edge, client-specific solutions, including development of business case, IT strategy development and tools / software considerations around Digital solutions
  • Work closely with client IT teams and business personnel to uncover opportunities and draw actionable insights
  • Involvement in additional internal firm building activities such as knowledge management and recruiting
  • Additional Responsibilities :

  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Adept at running Fit to Standard workshops with Business stakeholders. Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues and influence decision making at all levels of the organization without formal reporting structure authority.
  • Passion for transforming our clients’ businesses to unlock value for their shareholders, clients, and partners.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required within and outside India.
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team, including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary.
  • Knowledge of one or more digital technologies (Robotic Process Automation, Digital transformation, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data technologies, Data Analytics, IoT etc.) and its application in Oil & Gas / Utilities Industry
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary
  • Strong knowledge of Agile development practices (Scrum), methodologies and tools
  • Excellent teamwork, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Ability to interact at all levels of clients’ organizations
  • Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
  • Technical and Professional Requirements :

    Required Qualifications :

  • At least 15 years of experience in management consulting, with a strong track record in designing, defining, or managing projects involving digital technologies within the Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors.
  • Deep domain expertise in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Broad understanding in one or more of the latest digital technologies (Robotic Process Automation, Digital Transformation, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data technologies, Data Analytics, IoT etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree / Full time MBA / PGDM from Tier1 / Tier2 B Schools in India or foreign equivalent required.
  • Expertise in managing end-to-end RFX processes including drafting responses, coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders, and ensuring timely submission.
  • Ability to create compelling proposals that articulate value propositions, pricing models, and delivery approaches aligned with client requirements.
  • Experience working closely with sales and pre-sales teams to develop winning strategies for bids and proposals.
  • Proven experience in people management, including mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams across geographies.
  • Skilled in resource planning, workload allocation, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Expertise in managing delivery of large-scale consulting engagements, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Ability to coach team members on consulting best practices, client engagement, and delivery excellence.
  • Skilled in data integration, transformation, and orchestration tools such as AWS Glue, Pyspark, Python, Azure Data Factory, SparkSQL, SQL, Palantir, data bricks Pipeline Builder, with hands-on experience using project and workflow tools like Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA, VSTS, or ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Skilled in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Palantir Contour, Palantir Workshop or similar, with hands-on experience using project and workflow tools like Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA, VSTS, or ServiceNow (SNOW)
