LearningMate - Senior PHP Developer - Python / React.js

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer with full-stack capabilities to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in PHP and React JS, with additional knowledge in backend frameworks, API development, and scripting languages. This role requires a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of Agile development Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using PHP and React JS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement frontend and backend components.
• Build and consume REST APIs and GraphQL services to enable seamless integration across platforms.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices.
• Work with version control systems, primarily GitHub, to manage codebase and collaborate with other developers.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and utilize Jira for task tracking and project management.
• Utilize scripting skills in Python and Shell (where applicable) to automate processes and support development workflows.
• Engage in data transformation activities, preferably with experience or knowledge of DBT (Data Build Tool).
• Support continuous integration and deployment efforts with a foundational understanding of cloud and DevOps practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure timely delivery of features and Skills and Experience :
• PHP : Strong proficiency in PHP development (mandatory).
• Frontend : Experience with React JS framework (mandatory).
• Backend Framework : Hands-on experience with Symfony framework (preferred).
• API Development : Solid understanding and practical experience with REST APIs and GraphQL (mandatory).
• Scripting Languages : Knowledge of JavaScript (mandatory), Python and Shell scripting (preferred).
• Version Control : Proficient with GitHub for source code management (mandatory).
• Cloud & DevOps : Basic understanding of cloud platforms and DevOps practices (preferred).
• Agile Methodology : Familiarity with Agile development processes and Jira tool usage :
• Bachelors degree in Engineering (BE), Computer Science (BCS), Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly motivated self-starter with effective organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
