We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, POM Technical Product Management, to join our BNY Payments Enablement Enterprise Platform team. This role is located in Pune, MH.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways :

The Product Owner will lead one of the pods in the Enrichment and Qualification Group, which is one of the groups within the BNY Payments Enablement Enterprise Platform with the mission to ensure accurate, timely, and standardized enrichment and qualification of payment instructions across all channels and rails, enabling high STP (Straight Through Processing) and seamless downstream execution.

Key responsibilities of the Product Owner would be to manage one of the pods within the Enrichment and Qualification group, including

• Own and manage the product backlog for the pod, ensuring alignment with platform OKRs and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Client Services to define and refine business problems and expected outcomes.
• Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize backlog items to balance new feature delivery, technical debt, and platform resiliency.
• Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in partnership with the Scrum Leads and development team.
• Ensure solution designs align with long-term architecture and platform vision.
• Monitor and measure pod's performance, using data to inform decisions and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge ofpayment rails : wires, ACH, instant payments, and emerging networks.
• Understanding ofend-to-end payment lifecycle, including initiation, enrichment, routing, posting, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Strong knowledge of enrichment and qualifications functions : Transaction classification, Payment's parties' validations, determination and enrichment, Cut-off and Value Date Validations, Method of Payment Determination, FX Determination, Instruction Permission Logic, Cancellation Validation
• Experience defining requirements forexception handling and cancellation workflows.
• Deep understanding of cross-border payments, correspondent banking, and global payment schemes (e.g., SWIFT, SEPA, Fedwire, CHAPS).
• Familiarity with ISO 20022 and legacy messaging standards (MT messages).
• Awareness of regulatory requirements (e.g., AML, sanctions screening, FATF, PSD2, Travel Rule, etc.)
• Deep understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of charges evaluation, charges rules configuration, and execution outcomes, ensuring accurate fee application across diverse payment types.
• Deep understanding of charging methods : deductions, hard charges, end of month billing, senders and receiver prepaid charges, surcharges, etc.
• Experience as a Product Owner in Agile / Scrum environments, with a solid grasp of Agile principles, ceremonies and backlog prioritization / management.
• Ability to write clear and actionable user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage a product backlog.
• Strong stakeholder management skills - capable of balancing the needs of operations, compliance, IT, and clients.
• Experience collaborating with development teams, testers, and business SMEs to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work cross-functionally across business and technical teams.
• Ability to analyze trends and use data to inform product decisions and drive operational efficiency.
• Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and data visualization tools.
• Strong communication and documentation skills - able to translate complex payment processes into business and technical requirements.
• High attention to detail, especially in compliance- and risk-sensitive environments.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
• Comfortable working in a global, cross-functional team and across different time zones
