Competitive Salary $95,000–$115,000

You will have the opportunity to visit some of Australia’s most unique country, providing capacity building supports in Central Australian schools, bringing services to children and families in very remote communities, along with children in the greater Darwin area.

About the role :

Our team works collaboratively with families and believe in the enormous potential that lies within every child and young person. With the combination of focussed early childhood supports, a remote services team, and a family centred therapy model, the NT team is at the forefront of excellence in paediatric services.

You will be fully supported by a dedicated administration team, freeing your time for you to do what you do best.

What you’ll do :

Provide culturally sensitive, evidence-informed therapy and capacity building supports for children and families

Work within the multidisciplinary team of therapists and allied health assistants, to provide comprehensive supports for clients

Provide a mix of capacity building, coaching, 1 : 1 and small group therapy supports, education, consultation and wrap around supports

Services can be provided in our fantastic clinic space, or flexibly to suit the client’s needs

What you need to join :

An understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander people

Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and SPA registration

Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment

Experience in working with children and / or in the disability sector and confidence in your role working closely with their families is highly valued
