Job descriptionLearn and assist with blood collection techniques, including venipuncture and donor interviewing. Gain knowledge of donor eligibility criteria, blood donation processes, and infection control practices. Assist in laboratory procedures such as blood typing, cross-matching, and disease screening. Learn to operate and maintain laboratory equipment used in blood testing. Support the maintenance of quality and safety standards for blood and blood products. Learn to identify, report, and help address quality control issues and deviations. Maintain accurate records related to blood collection, testing, and processing. Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and organizational standards. Assist in the storage, labeling, and tracking of blood and blood products. Learn to ensure availability, proper handling, and traceability of inventory. Understand and follow regulatory standards, safety procedures, and quality assurance protocols. Adhere to all blood bank policies and operational guidelines.
