Job Description : Corporate Sales Manager – Banquets

Location : Worli, Mumbai

Reports to : Head of Sales / General Manager

Role Overview

The Corporate Sales Manager for Banquets is responsible for driving corporate event revenues through proactive sales initiatives, client acquisition, relationship management, and seamless event coordination. This role combines strategic sales planning with hands-on execution to position the banquet business as a preferred venue for corporate functions, conferences, and social gatherings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target corporate clients for banquet business through market research, networking, and cold-calling.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for banquets and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) segments.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with key decision-makers in corporations, agencies, and event planners.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored event proposals, presentations, and contracts, negotiating terms to close deals.
  • Liaise with internal teams (culinary, service, event operations) to ensure seamless delivery of events and exceptional guest experience.
  • Track sales activity, maintain CRM records, and provide regular sales reports and revenue forecasts.
  • Stay updated on competitor offerings, market trends, and pricing to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Participate in promotional activities, industry events, and client meetings to generate new business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in banquets or event sales, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, build relationships, and close corporate sales.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM and MS Office applications.
  • Target-oriented with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities.
