ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be the on-ground person helping local homestay owners in Araku and Vizag get their properties ready, listed online, and booked by travelers. You'll teach them how to get their homes ready for guests and hospitality skills, how to use online platforms (Homeyhuts, Airbnb, MakeMyTrip, Booking.Com, etc.), help them understand guest expectations, and support them to earn better income from their properties.
Think of yourself as a bridge between Homeyhuts technology and local homestay families.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with local administration and visit homestay properties with owners and help them understand what changes are needed (room setup, cleanliness, amenities, etc.)
- Train homestay owners on how to use OTA platforms, uploading photos, setting prices, responding to guest messages
- Teach basic hospitality, how to welcome guests, what cleanliness standards matter, how to handle guest problems
- Help owners write property descriptions and take good photos for online listings
- Answer owner questions about bookings, payments, guest reviews
- Attend local community meetings and explain how Homeyhuts works to new property owners
- Provide feedback on what homestay owners need and what problems they face
- Track which properties are listed, which are getting bookings, and report progress
WHO YOU ARE (MUST HAVES)
Local to the region : From Araku / Paderu or Visakhapatnam area. This job requires you to know the local community.Fluent in three languages (Speaking and Writing) : Telugu, English and HindiStrong computer skills : Comfortable using laptops, smartphones, email, Excel, WhatsApp, Google Drive, online forms. You'll teach others, so it needs to be easy for you.Tourism or Hospitality background : You must have worked in Homestays, OTAs, hotels, guesthouses, resorts, tour companies, or similar. You understand what guests expect and how businesses work.WHO YOU ARE (NICE TO HAVES - BIG PLUS)
Experience with homestay or vacation rental platforms (Airbnb, Booking.Com, MakeMyTrip, Agoda)Experience helping people set up or improve homestaysKnowledge of interior design, home renovation, or property developmentExperience in online marketing or social media for travel / tourism businessesPrevious experience working with tribal or rural communities on development projectsWHAT YOU'LL GET FROM US
