Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and business-oriented Contracts and Real Estate Lawyer with 10–12 years of post-qualification experience to manage a broad spectrum of legal responsibilities, including commercial contracting and real estate legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in corporate law, hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts, and expertise in handling property transactions, leases, and compliance. The role requires close collaboration with business, finance, procurement, and operations teams to enable growth while managing legal risk.
Key Responsibilities :
Contracts & Commercial :
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including service agreements, vendor agreements, customer contracts, NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, technology and SaaS agreements, and procurement contracts.
- Provide legal support to business development, procurement, finance, and operations teams to align contractual terms with business objectives.
- Advise internal stakeholders on risk allocation, limitation of liability, indemnities, warranties, and termination clauses.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and internal approval workflows to streamline contract management.
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments, and performance monitoring using CLM systems or digital tools.
- Support resolution of pre-litigation disputes and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
B. Real Estate & Property Legal :
Manage legal aspects of property acquisition, sale, leasing, and licensing transactions.Conduct title due diligence, review property documents, and prepare detailed title reports highlighting key risks.Draft, review, and negotiate lease deeds, leave & license agreements, sale deeds, conveyance deeds, development agreements, MoUs, and power of attorney documents.Review land and building documentation, including mutation records, revenue records, RERA registrations, and building approvals.Liaise with external counsel, developers, and government authorities for registrations, stamp duty, and regulatory compliance.Maintain the organization’s property-related documentation and ensure compliance with applicable property and registration laws.Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.10–12 years of post-qualification experience, with exposure to both commercial contracting and real estate legal work.Experience in an in-house legal function, preferably in technology, infrastructure, or real estate sectors.In-depth knowledge of Indian Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, RERA, Stamp Act, and Registration laws.Skills & Competencies :
