Job descriptionDrive sourcing initiatives for direct material categories within the automotive industry. Lead value engineering and cost reduction projects across multiple part categories. Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Manufacturing) to optimize design-to-cost. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve sustainable cost savings. Negotiate with suppliers and build long-term strategic vendor 7+ years of relevant experience in sourcing / procurement, with strong exposure to direct materials. Proven track record in value engineering and procurement cost reduction. Prior experience in the automotive sector is a must. Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred education : MBA from SPJain, NITIE, IIMs, or equivalent top B-school.

- Preference for Big3 / Big4 & other consulting boutique firm candidates.
