General Manager – Production

Role Summary

Lead end-to-end production for home textile goods—from product / process research and sourcing through vendor management, order planning, execution, and timely dispatch. Coordinate all purchasing with the Purchase and Merchandising teams to ensure OTIF delivery at target quality and cost.

Key Responsibilities

Order and Production Planning : Build TNA calendars, MRP, and capacity loading; balance lines; monitor plan vs actual daily; remove bottlenecks and ensure preventive maintenance.

Purchase Coordination : Convert plans into indents / POs; follow up on fabric / yarn / trims / packaging; expedite critical materials; align closely with Merchandising on changes and approvals.

Quality and Compliance : Enforce buyer standards and AQL; lead RCA / CAPA; ensure audit / certification compliance

Cost and Inventory Control : Improve yield and reduce wastage; drive labor productivity; optimize WIP / FG inventory; achieve standard cost targets.

Constant follow up to ensure all above parameters are achieved & goods shipped on planned schedules.

Research and NPD : Evaluate new materials, processes, and finishes; run pilot samples; validate costs and timelines.

Sourcing and Vendor Management : Identify and develop mills / process houses / CMT units; negotiate costs, MOQs, and lead times; allocate capacity; maintain vendor scorecards.

Team Leadership : Lead planners, supervisors, and QC; implement SOPs, safety, and continuous improvement (Lean / 5S / Kaizen).

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree / Diploma in Textile / Production / Industrial Engineering;

Deep hands-on experience across Home Textile production

Strong vendor network and purchase coordination experience.

Data-driven decision making; strong communication.
