Workday HCM Release and Cutover Management Lead

About the role

The position is responsible for collaborating with HR Process Owners, Workday Functional Leads, and Technology stakeholders to understand requirements, assess impacts, and implement leading Workday HCM solutions and processes across group and local business units. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Workday solution landscape, credible experience in leading end-to-end HR technology and transformation programs, and strong knowledge of Agile and Kaizen frameworks.

Summary of the role and key responsibilities

We’re looking for a Workday HCM Release & Cutover Management Lead to join and play a critical role in ensuring smooth and successful delivery of Workday releases, internal projects, and HR technology initiatives including :

Lead release & cutover planning, testing, and deployment.

Partner with CHRO, Group Technology & business teams to align with the HR tech roadmap.

Manage cutover schedules, risks, and escalations.

Ensure governance, reporting, and adoption of new Workday features.

Stay ahead of Workday updates & recommend improvements.

Key skills required

The ideal candidate should possess :

5+ years’ experience as a Workday Functional Lead or similar role.

Hands-on expertise in design-to-deploy implementations across at least two Workday modules (HCM, Absence, Talent, Compensation, Recruitment, Benefits, etc.).

Strong problem-solving & analytical skills, with the ability to translate business needs into effective Workday solutions.

Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills across global teams.

Commitment to continuous learning & improvement.

Workday certifications in relevant modules preferred.
