Manager, Reinsurance Financial Reporting

Job descriptionQualified CA with relevant experience or MBA in Finance with relevant experience in Financial Accounting & Internal Reporting. Excellent Accounting knowledge, preferably on IFRS, reviewing journal entries, income statement analysis, balance sheet analysis and commentary, financial planning & analysis, etc. Relevant years of experience in directly handling a team, responsible for running monthly / quarterly one-on-ones and annual performance appraisals. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Enterprise Finance Reporting (EFR), QlikView, Power BI & HFM / Smart-View, IFRS 17 will be an added advantage. Excellent MS Excel skills. Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a cross-geographic, cross-organizational, and cross-cultural team. Excellent team player with the ability to work independently. Strong customer focus and results orientation. UG : B.Tech / B.E. in Any Specialization PG : MBA / PGDM in Any Specialization, CA in Any Specialization
Essential Responsibilities :
- Lead the Bermuda Reinsurance Financial Reporting team.
- Oversee Reinsurance financial planning, accounting, and reporting activities.
- Drive and prepare the Quarterly Income Statement Pack and Balance Sheet Pack.
- Perform monthly / quarterly reconciliations, including but not limited to Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations.
- Support Legal Entity & Regulatory reporting work.
- Prepare, review, and post (if needed) journal entries.
- Maintain effective communication with onshore (both written and verbal) and manage expectations.
- Keep flexibility in reports to incorporate high-level adjustments or structural changes from stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
- Drive continuous process improvement and manage special projects.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Finance Reporting (EFR), Qlik & HFM / Smart-View, IFRS 17 will be an added advantage.
- Support ad-hoc activities.
- You will report to the Senior Manager, Reinsurance Financial Reporting.
