Job Overview :

Title : Sr. Data Governance

Experience : 5-7 years

Location : Gurgaon

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance professional to lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of our data governance framework. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in data quality, metadata management, and compliance, coupled with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams to drive governance maturity across the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and oversee data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices across business units
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship models, and accountability structures
• Establish and track key data governance KPIs, integrate dashboards, and provide actionable insights and reports for leadership
• Lead initiatives around data quality management, including profiling, issue identification, remediation planning, and monitoring
• Maintain and enhance data lineage, metadata, and master data management (MDM) processes and repositories
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, or other data privacy mandates)
• Partner with business and IT teams to embed governance practices into data projects and transformation initiatives
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on governance standards, data policies, and operational execution
• Contribute to the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation
• Drive continuous improvement in data governance capabilities through proactive process enhancements and stakeholder engagement
