Solar Engineer designs, develops, and implements solar energy systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients, ensuring projects are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulations. Key duties include conducting site assessments, creating technical designs and documentation, supervising installations, performing cost-benefit analyses, and ensuring systems are optimized for maximum energy output and longevity. They stay updated on solar technology, coordinate with teams, and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

System Design : Creating detailed designs for solar photovoltaic (PV) and thermal systems using modeling and CAD software.

Site Assessment : Evaluating potential locations to determine the feasibility and optimal design for solar installations.

Technical Analysis : Conducting technical and economic feasibility studies to identify cost-effective and efficient solar solutions.

Project Management : Coordinating with project managers, technicians, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Documentation : Preparing technical reports, schematics, and necessary documentation for permits and compliance.

Installation & Supervision : Overseeing and supervising the installation of solar panels, inverters, and mounting structures, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Compliance : Ensuring that all aspects of the project adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.

Optimization : Performing tests and checks to maximize system performance, maintenance, and energy yield.

Research & Innovation : Keeping abreast of new solar technologies and integrating them into new project designs to enhance solutions.
