Role Summary
We are seeking to recruit an ambitious and dynamic CAD Technician to join the ‘UK GCC Communities’ team in Bengaluru to work alongside our UK discipline.
The successful candidate will be working in a team environment to develop and deliver projects
through various stages of design from feasibility to planning / detailed design and onto construction.
Responsibilities
- You will be working and supporting on a range of infrastructure schemes to independently develop engineering drawings in accordance with the relevant standards.
- You will be expected to play a proactive part in the design process and to be active on several projects at any given time.
- You will be contributing to all types of projects.
- You will be using AutoCAD, MicroStation and other engineering software for the production and development of drawings.
- You will read and adher to all relevant policies and procedures for Health and Safety including the H&S Policy, H&S Manual, and Local Procedures Manual.
Key Competencies / Skills :
Mandatory Skills
Ability to utilise AutoCAD or MicroStation in adherence to defined CAD standards to develop layouts, labelling, dimensioning, sheet layout, design details and other appropriate design concepts.Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models to assist with investigations of engineering problems.Proven ability to work up drawings (plans, sections & details) from Engineers basic sketches to full working drawingsAbility to liaise with the design teams as necessary to coordinate design and drawing production.You should be able to demonstrate some experience and working knowledge of relevant technical design guidance and standards, such as TSRGD, HCD, and IAN 184. Proficient in use of standard office softwareConfidence to seek clarification of instructions and work scope.Commitment to work as part of a design team focused on project delivery.Good written and verbal communication skills.Desired Skills
Knowledge of Civil 3DUK Highways project experience and knowledge of UK design standards is advantageousQualifications
You will have a ITI or Diploma in Engineering level qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 3-7 years relevant post-graduate experienceAutodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation user certification
