Job descriptionPlan, coordinate, and execute the installation, configuration, and updating software components to ensure seamless operations and system integrity. Manage backups for databases (e.G., Postgres, MySQL) and tape storage systems. Engage in incident management and troubleshoot production issues for prompt resolution. Develop and maintain Bash and Python scripts for task automation and monitoring. Design, build, maintain and extend existing and new Operational tools. 2nd-level support for external and internal customers (in accordance with the particular shift schedule). Participation in shift rotation as well as taking over on-call duties and occasional weekend work. Degree or training in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proficient in Linux environments and skilled in Bash, Python scripting and SQL. Experience in application support and operations. Familiarity with Cloud Service Providers like GCP, Azure or AWS. Experience with RedHat OpenShift Platform would be an asset. Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and resolve production incidents. Excellent written and spoken English (German is a plus). Resilient under pressure, self-motivated, and eager to learn within a collaborative team atmosphere. 100% in-office presence is expected during the comprehensive training period, and subsequently, a minimum of 3 days per week in the office is required to ensure seamless collaboration and operational efficiency.
