Responsibilities
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses to assess water flow patterns and flood risks, proposing effective mitigation measures.
- Design sustainable stormwater and drainage systems using AutoCAD, GIS, InfoDrainage, SewerGEMS, or similar tools.
- Oversee planning, design, and implementation of drainage projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to resolve design and implementation challenges.
- Ensure delivery of projects within budget, schedule, and technical quality standards, including QA, HSE, and sustainability requirements.
- Assist in preparing fee proposals and maintaining financial control of projects.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory approvals.
- Conduct site inspections to collect data and evaluate drainage system performance.
- Provide technical support and advice to engineers, planners, and construction managers.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring performance and professional development.
- Participate in client meetings, reviews, and presentations to represent the firm effectively.
Requirements
12+ years of experience with reputed Indian or multinational engineering design firms.Bachelor's degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering (mandatory).Master's degree in Hydrology / Water Resources Engineering (preferred).Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification desirable.Proven expertise in hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessment, and SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) design.Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, GIS, InfoDrainage, SewerGEMS, or equivalent.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities.Knowledge of regulatory standards and environmental guidelines.International project experience is an added advantage.Skills Required
