Role Summary

A high-performing and influential individual contributor who leads by example while continuing to mentor junior engineers. Interfaces consistently with tech leadership in the local organization, leads complex and vaguely-defined projects and stretches into team leadership skills based on current projects.

In This Role, You Will

• Collaborate across disciplines—partnering with front-end, backend, and SREs—to shape the architecture and elevate the technical foundation of a large-scale UI applications serving millions of users. Focus on code quality and overall platform improvement for this customer-critical system
• Quality and Performance Champion : Establish and enforce engineering best practices for testing, CI / CD, and observability. Proactively address system bottlenecks, technical debt, and performance issues while improving UI stability and test coverage
• Observability and Reliability : Implement tracing, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure application uptime, facilitate issue diagnosis, and drive performance improvements through data-driven analysis and solutions
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner with diverse shopping teams and AWS specialists across multiple time zones to design cost-efficient infrastructure and optimize resources, ensuring seamless integration of global e-commerce solutions
• Testing : Design and execute test plans—including advanced functional, performance, and security testing—to ensure high code quality
