Position Overview :

Chandigarh University is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic professional for the position of Director – Sports. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing sports and physical education programs at the University. The role involves promoting a culture of sportsmanship, fitness, and holistic development among students, along with managing infrastructure, teams, and compliance with all regulatory norms.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Sports Department in alignment with the University's mission.
• Plan, organize, and oversee all sports, games, and physical education activities on campus.
• Ensure compliance with UGC norms and other regulatory requirements related to sports and physical education.
• Foster student participation in intra-university, inter-university, state, national, and international sporting events.
• Supervise recruitment, training, and performance of coaches, trainers, and staff.
• Oversee the maintenance and development of sports infrastructure and facilities.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle and physical well-being through structured programs and awareness drives.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative departments for holistic student development.
• Manage the budget, resources, and operations of the Sports Department effectively.
