Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Head Chef at Idli Curry Co, located in Vikhroli, Mumbai.
The Head Chef will lead daily kitchen operations, ensure taste consistency, and uphold high-quality standards for South Indian dishes both veg and non veg.
Responsibilities include :
Leading and supervising the kitchen team
Managing production schedules and daily operations
Ensuring all SOPs, hygiene, and food safety standards are followed
Overseeing inventory, costing, and vendor coordination
Innovating and refining menu items to improve efficiency and flavour
Maintaining kitchen discipline, cleanliness, and equipment health
Working closely with management to streamline operations and scale production
Qualification
Strong experience in South Indian cuisine (mandatory)
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role
Expertise in menu planning, recipe standardization, and food presentation
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, workflow, and staff training
Good organizational skills : inventory control, cost management, and maintaining hygiene standards
Creativity and innovation in improving recipes and processes
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Culinary certifications are preferred
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant kitchen experience
