About the Role

Maverick Spirits is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the company's end-to-end Accounting and Finance function at its Imphal, Manipur office. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and prior experience in handling complete accounts independently or substantial experience with a reputed CA firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end accounting including AP / AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and finalization of accounts.
• Manage statutory compliance including GST, TDS, Income Tax, Excise, and other applicable state laws.
• Oversee payroll processing, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements .
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Coordinate with auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning for the company.
• Ensure timely filing of returns and compliance with financial regulations.
• Supervise and guide junior staff (if any) and act as the head of the finance / accounts department .
• Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities as required.
