We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer
In This Role, You Will
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify bugs and ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX designers, to understand requirements and provide feedback.
- Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new and existing features.
- Document test results and track defects using bug tracking tools; ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA team members.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.
Qualifications - External
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements :
Hands on Tech SME in commercial banking with total of 5 – 8 years of experience within which 2-3 years of experience in Agile way of working.Hands on experience in Test coverageExperience in test management tool like Jira and agile framework- ScrumAble to take end to end ownership of the App, excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skillsShould demonstrate excellent analytical capabilities, problem solving skills, learning abilities, team skills and ability to work independently.Proficiency in writing clear and concise test cases and documentation.Exposure to customer experience, usability, Business Banking channels related exposures, with knowledge on Payments related life cycle knowledge will be preferred.You'll achieve more when you join HSBC.
