Senior Software Development Engineer - Test - Automation Testing

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior SDET to lead and drive the quality engineering vision across UI, API, and Mobile automation testing initiatives. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in building robust automation frameworks, has deep expertise in modern testing tools, and possesses a strong programming background. You will be responsible for setting testing standards, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the highest levels of product quality in a fast-paced, agile product :

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and Mobile platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to QA and engineering teams across the organisation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies for new and existing features.
• Drive test automation strategy and architecture, selecting best-fit tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, REST Assured, etc.
• Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines and enable shift-left testing practices.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage by establishing best practices in test case design and quality gates.
• Advocate for quality across the SDLC and contribute to architecture and design discussions.
• Own the testing strategy for performance and security testing; coordinate with relevant teams for implementation.
• Champion quality-first engineering culture within product development teams.
• Evaluate and onboard modern tools and frameworks to enhance test efficiency and speed.
• Conduct code reviews, root cause analyses, and continuously improve test reliability and :
• 7+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering, with a strong focus on automation.
• Proven expertise in at least one of the following languages : Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience in UI automation using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Solid experience in REST API testing and automation using tools like Postman, REST Assured, Karate, etc.
• Experience with Mobile test automation frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Strong experience in building and maintaining custom automation frameworks from scratch.
• Working knowledge of CI / CD tools and integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc. ).
• Exposure to performance testing tools (e. g., JMeter, Gatling, k6) and security testing principles / tools (e. g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite).
• Excellent understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.
• Demonstrated experience working in fast-paced, product-based organisations.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to think strategically, lead through influence, and drive change across teams.
• Experience with containerization and cloud platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Exposure to BDD / TDD methodologies.
• Experience in observability or test analytics tools like Allure, ReportPortal, etc.
