Role : Branch Head - Broking
Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Branch Head - Broking with 9-15 years of experience to assume full operational and revenue responsibility for our branch in Ahmedabad.
This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving significant revenue generation across HNIs, Retail clients, and the Franchisee network.
The Head will focus on aggressive New Business Development across all financial products, including equity, derivatives (F&O), currency, commodities, Mutual Funds (MF), and Portfolio Management Services (PMS), while maintaining strict compliance and achieving high brokerage productivity.
Primary Responsibility (Branch Manager) :
Revenue and Business Development :
- Be responsible for generating revenue for the respective branch through targeted efforts across HNIs, Retail clients, and the Franchisee network.
- Be accountable for achieving surplus through New Business development, focusing on all core broking products : equity, derivatives (F&O), currency, commodities, MF, and PMS.
- Responsible for the expansion of the client base, covering segments including HNI, Ground (Physical), and Web (Digital) channels.
- Develop business through the appointment of new franchisees within the defined territory.
Productivity and Profitability :
Be responsible for achieving brokerage productivity per Relationship Manager (RM) within the branch team.Be accountable for achieving brokerage productivity per client (HNI and Retail) and ensure the overall achievement of client profitability targets.Responsible to achieve all advisory product targets set for the branch.Compliance and Team Leadership :
Ensure adherence to all compliance standards and regulations as laid down by the Risk and Compliance departments.Ensure harmonious relationships with employees & team members and take proactive initiatives to build and enhance employees' capability.Will be responsible for taking initiatives for building the brand reputation and presence within the local community and catchment area.Contributing and Asset Gathering :
Will be responsible for cross-selling third-party products for the branch, diversifying revenue streams.Gather assets in products as defined in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Team Drive and Efficiency :
Drive business through the team of RMs, Account Managers (AM), Sales Executives (SE), and Investment Specialists (IS).Should help the branch team achieve their productivity as defined by the company.Financial Management :
Maintain I / E (Income to Expense) Ratio of 3 : 1 from Direct business and 4 : 1 including the franchisee business for optimal cost management and profitability.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Experience : 9-15 years of progressive experience in the broking or financial services sector, including prior experience as a Branch Manager.
Product Knowledge : Expert knowledge of the full suite of broking products : Equity, Derivatives (F&O), Currency, Commodities, MF, and PMS.
Leadership : Proven ability to manage teams, drive productivity per RM, and build employee capability.
Business Development : Strong track record in New Business development and Franchisee appointment.
Compliance : High degree of commitment to ensuring regulatory and internal compliance adherence.
