Job description

Job Title : Engineering Manager

Location : Pune (Hybrid)

Experience : 10 - 15 Years

Notice Period : Immediate Joiners Preferred

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

Lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable and maintainable software.
Contribute directly to the codebase when required and provide technical guidance to the team.
Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices around code quality, testing, and DevOps.
Collaborate with tech leads and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Project Delivery :

Partner with project managers to plan and execute projects on time and within scope.

Proactively remove technical and process-related blockers.

Define and track engineering KPIs to improve delivery and reliability.

Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.

Team Management :

Mentor and coach engineers, supporting their growth and career development.

Conduct regular 1 : 1s, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.

Support hiring efforts and ensure strong onboarding and team culture.

Manage team dynamics and maintain a collaborative, high-performance :

Experience :

10-15 years of total professional experience in software development.

Minimum 8 years of hands-on development experience.

At least 2 years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.

Proven experience mentoring or leading teams, even without a formal managerial title.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Masters or MBA is a Skills :

Proficiency in at least one backend language : Node.js, Python, Go, or Java.

Experience with frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.

Solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms

(AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Strong grasp of DevOps practices including CI / CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as Skills :

Ability to lead technical discussions and resolve complex issues.

Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments with multiple priorities.
