Job descriptionTo sell rooftop solar systems to commercial and industrial customers, particularly targeting SMEs To inform customers of Orb’s in-house credit option, and use this facility to close sales more quickly To ensure monthly targets are met for leads generated (site surveys), orders booked, sales invoiced, and collections achieved To sell within the stipulated guidelines on money collection To work closely with Vice President PV Projects and marketing to organise awareness-raising events with industry To actively pursue all leads and ensure they are met and the CRM is updated in a timely fashion To Conduct Initial Site Survey and subsequently organise detailed site surveys and develop proposals in coordination with the in-house technical and operations departments To personally conduct site visits to assess the technical feasibility of the product being offered To monitor that installations are proceeding on time, and to the customer’s satisfaction To ensure overall customer satisfaction with the working of the entire system To provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to the line manager as and when required To keep a track on competitor offerings 5-6 years of B2B sales experience Ideally prior experience in selling Solar Rooftop PV / Ground mounted systems Knowledge about State Open Access / Policies A degree or diploma in electrical engineering A self-starter with fresh ideas, and lots of initiative A clear grasp of commercial issues, in addition to technical A team-player Able to travel at short notice
To effectively sell Solar rooftop systems to commercial and industrial customers, particularly SMEs.
- To work effectively with existing customers (for referrals) and channel partners to identify leads, organise site surveys, offer proposals, close the sale, collect documents for in-house credit (if credit sale), and collect the money.
