Job description

The Business Head – GCC Vertical will lead and grow the GCC practice for our recruitment firm in India, with full P&L ownership.

This role requires driving client acquisition, building strong CXO-level relationships, scaling delivery capability, and positioning the firm as a trusted partner for specialized hiring within Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and Captive Centers across India. The leader will architect growth by building new partnerships, accelerating revenue, and ensuring efficient operations aligned with client demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own complete P&L responsibility for the GCC vertical including revenue, profitability, and operating margin.
  • Develop and execute the business strategy for the GCC vertical to achieve growth targets.
  • Build and expand client relationships with India site leaders, TA heads, HR leaders, and global stakeholders in GCCs across industries (Retail, Banking, Tech, Healthcare, etc.).
  • Drive new client acquisition through consultative sales, partnerships, and executive connects.
  • Oversee recruitment delivery, ensuring adherence to SLAs, quality, and efficiency in hiring.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a specialized recruitment team for mid to senior-level and niche hiring for GCCs.
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and talent dynamics to advise clients strategically.
  • Collaborate with leadership on pricing, resourcing, and capacity planning for engagements.
  • Represent the firm in industry forums and networking events to enhance brand presence in the GCC ecosystem.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, commercials, and data protection norms for client engagements.

Key Metrics of Success

  • Annual revenue growth and profitability of the GCC vertical.
  • Number of GCC clients acquired and retained.
  • Delivery performance : fulfillment ratios, time-to-hire, client satisfaction scores.
  • Team productivity and capability building.
  • Strategic partnerships established in the GCC ecosystem.
  • Candidate Profile

  • 12–18 years of experience in recruitment, executive search, RPO, or talent advisory services.
  • Proven track record of leading a P&L in recruitment / business consulting with GCC clients.
  • Strong network and relationships with HR, TA, and business leaders across GCCs in India.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to scale a business vertical independently.
  • Strong negotiator and commercial acumen in structuring recruitment solutions (contingency, retained, project hiring, RPO).
  • Excellent leadership, client management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Deep understanding of talent pool, hiring dynamics, and market challenges in GCC space.
  • MBA / PG in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
