Role Description
This is an full-time, on-site role located in South Sudan for an Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) Inspector. The inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of tubular goods used in oil and gas operations. Key tasks include conducting NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) examinations, visual inspections, measuring and verifying specifications, documenting findings, and coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques, including but not limited to Electromagnetic (Flux Leakage), ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant methods.
- Familiarity with industry standards for Oil Country Tubular Goods, including API (American Petroleum Institute) RP7G-2, RP 5C1 / 5A5 and DS-1 specifications.
- Strong skills in visual inspection techniques and measurement tools used in quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills to document inspection results and liaise with teams.
- Proven attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
- Certifications such as Level II ASNT qualifications or equivalent are Essential.
- Previous experience in OCTG inspection of minimum 5 years is a prerequisite.
