Job description
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and implement the annual general trade sales strategy aligned with company goals.
Create regional sales plans, volume targets, and trade promotion strategies.
Identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and competitive threats.
2. Sales Leadership & Team Management
Lead, coach, and mentor a national sales team, including Zonal and Regional Sales Managers.
Build a high-performance culture with clear KPIs, accountability, and motivation.
Conduct regular performance reviews and capability-building initiatives.
3. Distribution & Market Expansion
Strengthen and expand the distributor network in line with market potential.
Drive numeric and weighted distribution for all product categories.
Ensure effective secondary sales planning and monitoring
4. DMS & SFA Management
Leverage
Distributor Management Software (DMS)
for real-time sales, inventory, and claims tracking.
Ensure
Sales Force Automation (SFA)
adoption for improved field productivity and execution.
Use analytics from DMS & SFA to optimize supply chain, route-to-market, and sales performance.
5. Trade Marketing & Execution
Work closely with trade marketing to design and execute effective schemes, promotions, and visibility initiatives.
Monitor market execution standards and ensure compliance across regions.
6. Reporting & Business Insights
Track and report sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
Present actionable insights to management for decision-making.
