Vice President of Credit

Job descriptionDefine and upgrade SOPs in line with regulatory guidelines. Drive digitization and automation in credit processing. Ensure RBI compliance and address audit recommendations. Monitor early delinquencies and initiate corrective actions. Partner with fraud risk teams on suspicious case reviews. Support risk mitigation through process interventions. Lead and mentor the credit ops team. Liaise with IT, operations, and business teams for seamless execution. Ensure vendor performance for verification, valuation, etc. Drive KPIs : TAT, approval ratio, accuracy, and cost optimization. Maintain high standards in credit documentation and decisioning. Strong analytical & decision-making capabilities. Sound knowledge of Retail & MSME lending practices. Stakeholder management and leadership excellence. Process-driven mindset with attention to detail. Resilience under pressure and target-oriented execution. Education : MBA or Graduate (Finance / Banking preferred). Experience : 7–10 years total, with minimum 5 years in a leadership role in credit operation end to end including underwriting, process and policy design of : Unsecured / Secured Individual Loans, Business Loan, MSME Loans, Retail Loans and LAP

Role Overview
The Assistant / Head – Credit Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for managing the end-to-end credit lifecycle for Retail and MSME loan products. The role focuses on credit appraisal , policy adherence , risk management , portfolio quality , and operational efficiency , aligning with Digamber Capfin's goal of financial inclusion and sustainable lending practices.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead underwriting, appraisal, and approvals for Retail / MSME loans.
- Maintain TAT while ensuring quality and policy adherence.
- Collaborate with sourcing teams for optimal credit decisions.
