Position Overview
We are setting up a new in-house operations center in Kolkata to manage our U.S. and Canada short-term rental (Airbnb) business. The Operations Manager will lead this office, oversee day-to-day activities, manage multiple departments (Customer Support, Bookkeeping, Marketing, Onboarding, and Sales), and ensure all operations run smoothly across time zones.
This is a leadership role for someone with experience in BPO, hospitality, or property management who can take ownership, build systems, and manage a growing team.
Key Responsibilities

- Create and manage team schedules, especially for U.S. time zone coverage (evening / night shifts).
- Monitor performance, attendance, and output of all team members.
- Conduct daily briefings and weekly performance review meetings.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff with HR support.
📊 Operations Oversight
Coordinate between India team and U.S. / Canada management offices.Maintain daily dashboards : occupancy, revenue, guest issues, pending tasks.Track task completion using project management tools (ClickUp, Notion, Asana).Ensure all SOPs (guest handling, onboarding, bookkeeping) are followed precisely.Escalate critical issues (guest emergencies, financial discrepancies) to the CEO promptly.💬 Communication & Coordination
Act as the main bridge between U.S. leadership and the India operations team.Manage internal communication via Slack, WhatsApp, and RingCentral.Provide daily and weekly summary reports to the CEO.Participate in management meetings and suggest process improvements.Financial & Administrative Oversight
Coordinate with the Bookkeeping team for Airbnb payout tracking, expenses, and monthly reporting.Approve minor operational expenses and maintain budget discipline.Oversee procurement, system setup, and vendor relationships (internet, IT, maintenance).Business Growth & Quality Control
Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction, and issue resolution time.Identify efficiency gaps and introduce automation or SOP improvements.Assist the CEO in scaling operations — new cities, more listings, new team divisions.Maintain confidentiality and protect all business data.
