About the Role
A strong understanding of computer skills. Assisting in supporting the PMC Department in maintaining the OHSE Management System.
Responsibilities
- Preparing Tenders, Proposals, and Questionnaires.
- Assist in promoting a positive OHSE culture whereby OHSE is integrated throughout the PMC department by discharging the duties defined within the PMC OHSEMS.
- Assist in the communication of OHSE policies, manuals, and procedures to the staff.
- Assist in identifying OHSE training needs and facilitate the provision of training as per the approved training matrix.
- Assist in preparing the quarterly OHSE report.
- Assist in providing professional support and advice to the project management team to fulfil the requirements of the PMC department’s ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification standards.
- To assist in the development of an action plan to close out any inspection and audit findings.
- Supporting any external surveillance audits as required.
- Review the project's performance, OHSE KPA flex.
- Monitor and follow up on actions and instructions issued, so far as possible, ensuring these are closed out on time.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in any engineering or science-based subject; or a level 5 / 6 Diploma in an HSE-related subject.Professional HSE qualification (NEBOSH IGC / NGC / an NVQ Level 4 +) or a recognized.7 years of relevant HSE experience in the construction industry or a substantial part thereof, with explicit knowledge of construction processes, best practice standards required.
Experience and knowledge of incident investigation and reporting.Evidence of continued professional development, further training.Proficiency in spoken and written English, confident with IT.Professional, consistent, and enthusiastic in approach.Able to work on their initiative and display integrity and credibility, self-confident and able to communicate with authority, and have awareness of personal weaknesses and limitations.Ability to build working relationships with Contractors and other stakeholders; able to develop and maintain trust and confidence.Good communication, presentation and networking skills with the ability to persuade and influence. Able to adapt communication for all levels.Sound knowledge of local and international HSE legislation and industry best practice, being able to provide practical advice and recommendations based on experience.Able to travel to various locations across / outside the region if and when required.Required Skills
A recognized training qualification is an advantage.Experience in dealing with enforcing authorities and local statutory bodies.Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment with knowledge of local customs and traditions, and how these may affect HSE performance.Additional languages and complementary skills / training / experience are an advantage.Safety in Design Experience aligned with CDM 2015.PMC Experience.Equal Opportunity Statement
