Position Overview
The Director Sales is a strategic leadership role responsible for building and scaling Acme Interiors' sales function across India. This position requires a results-driven leader with deep B2B sales expertise who will establish sales systems, build high-performing teams, create robust pipelines, and drive ambitious revenue growth targets. The Director Sales will be the primary architect of our sales strategy and will be accountable for achieving pan-India sales objectives.
Key Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company's growth objectives
- Own and deliver on aggressive revenue targets and sales pipeline metrics across all regions
- Build market intelligence framework to identify opportunities in corporate, hospitality, healthcare, and housing sectors
- Define territory strategies and account prioritization frameworks for optimal market coverage
Team Building & Management
Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team of 8-12 professionals across multiple regionsEstablish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability structures within the sales organizationDevelop sales talent through coaching, mentoring, and performance managementCreate compensation structures and incentive programs that drive desired behaviors and resultsSales Infrastructure & Systems
Implement and manage robust CRM systems and sales technology stackDesign and standardize sales processes, playbooks, and qualification frameworksEstablish sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting mechanismsCreate proposal development frameworks and pricing strategiesDevelop pre-qualification and RFP response processesBusiness Development & Client Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with CXOs, Real Estate Heads, and key decision-makers at target accountsLead complex, high-value negotiations and deal closuresRepresent Acme Interiors at industry events, conferences, and networking forumsCollaborate with design, project execution, and commercial teams for seamless handoffsMarket Development
Identify and develop new market segments and geographical opportunitiesAnalyze competitive landscape and develop differentiation strategiesTrack industry trends, client preferences, and emerging opportunities in interior fit-out sectorEstablish partnerships and alliances to enhance market reachRequired Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
MBA or equivalent advanced degree 15+ years of progressive B2B sales experience with at least 8 years in leadership rolesProven track record in interior fit-out, construction, real estate, or related B2B services industryDemonstrated success in building sales teams from ground up and scaling organizationsExperience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles of 3-9 monthsTrack record of consistently exceeding revenue targets in excess of - 200 crores annuallyIndustry Knowledge
Deep understanding of interior fit-out, design-build, and general contracting business modelsKnowledge of corporate real estate, facilities management, and procurement processesFamiliarity with Fortune 500 and large Indian corporate decision-making structuresUnderstanding of hospitality, healthcare, and housing sector requirementsKey & Strategy
