Job Description : Sales Manager - Defence Vertical (Drone Industry).
Position : Sales Manager - Defence (UAV & Drone Solutions).

Reports To : Head - Defence Business / Director - Sales & Marketing.
Role Overview :
- We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager.
- The role requires developing and managing relationships with Defence organizations, paramilitary forces, and government stakeholders, while leading the internal sales team to achieve revenue growth.
- The candidate will play a key role in positioning our drone solutions for defence applications, securing contracts, and driving business expansion in the Defence & Aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Development & Sales Strategy :
Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the company's presence in the Defence sector.Identify business opportunities within the Indian Armed Forces, DRDO, DPSUs, and paramilitary organizations.Drive revenue targets through tenders, RFPs, and direct defence procurement opportunities.Build and maintain strong C-level and decision-maker relationships within the Ministry of Defence ecosystem.Team Leadership & Coordination :
Lead and mentor the sales team, ensuring high performance and achievement of targets.Coordinate with technical, R&D, and operations teams to align sales pitches with product capabilities.Review sales pipeline regularly, providing guidance and corrective actions.Tendering & Proposals :
Oversee tender participation in GeM and MoD procurement platforms.Guide the team in preparing detailed techno-commercial proposals and presentations.Lead price negotiations and contract discussions with defence procurement authorities.Market Intelligence & Representation :
Track defence procurement trends, budgets, and competitor strategies.Provide insights to management for product improvements and new solutions.Represent the company at defence expos, seminars, and industry forums (Aero India, DefExpo, etc.Reporting & Compliance :
Ensure adherence to defence procurement policies and compliance requirements.Maintain regular MIS reports on sales progress, tenders, and order pipeline.Report directly to senior leadership on targets and market updates.Qualifications & Skills :
Education : MBA in Sales / Marketing or equivalent.Experience : defence Background, 5-6 years in Defence sales, business development, or government liaison.Experience in drones, aerospace, UAVs, or defence equipment is highly desirable.Skills :
Strong understanding of defence procurement processes (Buy Indian-IDDM, Make-I / II, DPP / DAP, GeM).Established network within the defence ecosystem (Army HQ, Air HQ, Navy, DRDO, DPSUs).Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Proven track record in closing large defence deals.Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a sales team.Willing To Travel for demo and trials.Key Competencies :
