Key responsibilities

Windows Server Administration :

Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers.

Manage core services like Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

Perform system updates, patching, and Group Policy administration.

VMware Virtualization Management :

Install, configure, and manage VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter.

Create, provision, and manage virtual machines and templates.

Configure virtual networking, storage (datastores), and storage connectivity.

System Performance and Security :

Monitor system performance and health to predict growth and prevent issues.

Implement and enforce security policies and controls.

Manage vulnerability assessments and patch management.

Troubleshooting and Support :

Diagnose and resolve issues with both the Windows and VMware environments.

Act as a point of escalation for the help desk.

Provide technical support to end-users.

Operations and Maintenance :

Perform regular system backups and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

Document procedures, configurations, and changes according to policies.

Implement and manage high-availability solutions like vMotion and HA.
