We are seeking a qualified CMA / ICWA with 4-5 years of experience in conducting cost audits for our manufacturing units in Gujarat.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring statutory compliance with the Companies Act, preparing and filing cost audit reports, and providing valuable insights for cost optimization.
The role requires a high level of proficiency in cost accounting standards, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and hands-on experience with ERP systems.
Responsibilities :
Conduct cost audits in accordance with the Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rules and other applicable statutory requirements.
Ensure accurate maintenance of cost accounting records and systems.
Prepare and finalize the cost audit report in the prescribed CRA-3 format and assist in filing the CRA-4 form with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs within the stipulated deadlines.
Perform detailed cost analysis, including product costing, variance analysis, and budgetary control.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and drive cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing units.
Collaborate with various departments, including production, supply chain, and finance, to gather data and ensure the accuracy of cost information.
Analyze inventory valuation and ensure it is in line with the cost accounting standards.
Provide management with reports and insights on cost performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all relevant cost accounting standards.
Assist in internal audits and support external financial audits as required.
Work with ERP systems to extract and analyze cost data effectively.
Qualifications :
Must-Have : Qualified CMA / ICWA is mandatory.
Experience : 4 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in cost auditing, specifically within the manufacturing sector.
Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of the Companies Act, particularly provisions related to cost audits (Section 148).
