Job description
  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Manager to lead cost planning, budgeting, and financial control activities across multiple projects in Bangalore.
  • The ideal candidate will play a strategic managerial role in ensuring cost efficiency, optimizing project spending, and maintaining financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
  • This position demands a strong background in cost management, stakeholder coordination, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Key Responsibilities :

    • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of cost management processes and systems across all active projects.
    • Oversee the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts to support project planning and execution.
    • Analyze project financial performance, identify variances, and provide corrective recommendations to maintain budget adherence.
    • Manage cost reporting, cash flow analysis, and earned value management to ensure transparency and control.
    • Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.
    • Lead periodic cost review meetings with senior leadership, providing insights and strategic input for decision-making.
    • Establish and enforce cost control standards, policies, and best practices across departments.
    • Mentor and guide junior cost engineers or analysts to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
    • Support contract negotiations, change order assessments, and risk evaluations from a cost perspective.
    • Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and benchmarking data to enhance forecasting accuracy.
    • Qualifications and Skills :

    • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's preferred.
    • 8-12 years of experience in cost management, ideally in construction, infrastructure, or large-scale industrial projects.
    • Strong knowledge of cost control systems, budgeting software, and ERP platforms.
    • Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Professional certifications (RICS, CCP, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
