Role Overview
The Vice President – Business Development is responsible for driving growth and expanding the client base across Banquets, Retail, and Hotel sectors. This leadership role involves strategizing and executing business development plans, building and nurturing key relationships, and leading sales teams to achieve ambitious revenue targets in Mumbai’s competitive hospitality market.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to capture new market opportunities in Banquets, Retail, and Hotels.
Lead and mentor the sales and business development teams to meet and exceed sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
Identify potential partnerships, negotiate contracts, and close high-value deals.
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of business initiatives.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine strategies.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums to boost brand visibility.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and business forecasts for senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
Proven 8+ years of experience in business development or sales leadership within Banquets, Retail, and / or Hotels.
Strong network and deep understanding of the Mumbai hospitality market.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with a track record of driving revenue growth and managing large sales teams.
Proficiency in CRM and sales analytics tools.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a hands-on approach.
