Job descriptionPlan and oversee the apparel production process, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Liaise with manufacturers to track production schedules and resolve issues related to fabric, fit, or finish. Conduct quality control checks and approve final products before dispatch. Analyze sales data, customer preferences, and market trends to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels. Work with buying and retail teams to ensure the right product mix is available at the right time. Monitor stock levels and coordinate restocking or markdowns as necessary. Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create in-store displays that enhance the customer experience. Ensure that branding, packaging, and labeling align with company guidelines. Support marketing campaigns through effective merchandising strategies. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, factories, and internal departments. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and lead times to optimize cost savings. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth delivery and distribution. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Management, Business, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in apparel merchandising or a related role. Strong knowledge of fashion trends, fabrics, and garment construction. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PLM systems, or other merchandising software. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines. Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturers is a plus.
