Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Development / Sales Professional with a robust background in B2B business development within the biopharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have experience working with regional and international clients and a proven track record in outreach, selling services, closing business deals, and creating new opportunities. The executive will be required to study existing procedures and formulate appropriate strategies that facilitate SciVoc's global expansion. Throughout this process, you should be acutely aware of our company's position within the field, working to consolidate this by using the resources at your disposal. A remarkable candidate should be able to produce tangible results in even the toughest of markets. The candidate should be comfortable working different time shifts in UK / EU / EST / APAC time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and reformulating existing and promising business contracts to maximize turnover.
  • Identify B2B target audience designations and roles across different organizations and industries within the pharmaceutical sector - Medical writing, Regulatory, Commercial, and Medico-Marketing.
  • Scrutinizing the market to elucidate clients' needs, competitors' activities, and promising avenues that have not yet been explored.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest to schedule E-meetings.
  • Crafting short and long-term, actionable plans in consultation with the Directors.
  • Reach out to targeted customers through email, , and cold calling activities.
  • Coordinate and plan email marketing activities for lead generation, including drafting content for cold emails, follow-ups, and messages.
  • Monitor email campaign performance and engage with database opens and clicks.
  • Identify new business development opportunities and create, manage, and grow new accounts.
  • Maintain competitor knowledge to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding services and key product differentiators to enable effective customer dialogue and build trust.
  • Report performance, maintain CRM data, and provide updates to the Sales Manager on lead status, ongoing conversations, and customer interactions.
  • Reviewing your progress using standardized metrics.
  • Create a robust sales pipeline through prospecting and constant follow-up with potential customers.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, coordinating with other teams to provide excellent service.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to generate quotes and share them with customers.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly quotas for E-meetings and sales.
  • Collaborate with the database team to discuss requirements and provide feedback.

Skills Required :

  • At least 7-9 years of experience in life science / pharmaceutical sales and new business development, lead generation, and ability to close business deals with a proven track record.
  • A background in the pharmaceutical industry is a must.
  • Experience working with international / global clients.
  • Agency background is preferred.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Quantitative Finance, Economics, or similar.
  • Extensive experience as a Sales and / or Business Development Professional or equivalent.
  • Ability to draft, decipher, and negotiate business contracts.
  • Complete understanding of contemporary market trends.
  • Solid business acumen supplemented with decisiveness.
  • Concrete grasp of routine and advanced statistical procedures.
  • Capacity to motivate staff to ensure alignment with visions.
  • Communicative, versatile, and strategic.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, relationship-building abilities, and a target and revenue-driven mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, growth possibilities, and areas of concern.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of email marketing and social selling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
