Key Responsibilities :
Shift Supervision :
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse during the assigned shift.
- Ensure smooth transition between shifts, including proper handover of tasks and information.
Staff Management :
Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, packers, and loaders.Schedule and assign tasks to staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all operations.Monitor staff performance and provide feedback or corrective actions as needed.Inventory Management :
Ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Inventory Control team to manage stock replenishment.Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.Safety and Compliance :
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.Promote a culture of safety and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols.Quality Control :
Maintain high standards of quality in all warehouse operations.Inspect goods for quality and report any discrepancies or issues.Work with the Quality Assurance team to resolve quality-related issues.Coordination and Communication :
Liaise with other departments, such as Procurement, Sales, and Logistics, to ensure efficient operations.Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates and resolve issues.Process Improvement :
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations and improve efficiency.Reporting and Documentation :
Prepare and maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory levels, staff attendance, and incident reports.Generate reports and provide data to management as required.Qualifications and Skills :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.Experience : Minimum [X] years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least [Y] years in a supervisory role.Skills :
