Application Support Engineer

Job Responsibilities :

• Triage and Troubleshooting Incidents for Banking Applications
• Performing diagnosis of production incidents by analyzing Application, Middleware and database alerts.
• Should be able to understand application design 3 Tier architecture, Ability to understand the logs (Application, Database, Middleware) and engage with relevant teams for incident triage and timely resolution
• Should understand concepts of Table Partitioning, DB cluster & RAC fundamentals, Query plans etc
• Should be able to review Query plans, identify long running queries, understand Alert Logs (of oracle db)
• Reviewing daily Database Reports and taking appropriate action.
• Corrective action on alerts received from monitoring tools.
• Engage and work with Internal teams (like DBA, Middleware, Server team, Storage, Network, Security) for the issue raised & ensure timely closure of open issues
• Analyze and various application performance telemetry, work towards automation of tasks and improve uptime and availability of the application.
• Work with ISV (Software OEM partners) for devising solutions to address critical bugs
• Deploy patches / bug fixes / VAPT in the UAT / Test environment & conduct SIT.

4-10 years of experience

Skills Required :

For Database, Its Oracle, Database : Proficiency on Oracle 19C, DB cluster & RAC fundamentals, OCA (Oracle Certified Associate) / OCP ((Oracle Certified Professional) Certification Preferred (OCA / OCP- Database Administrator).
