We excel in the sales and service of Capital Equipment, Manufacturing Technologies and Engineering Consultancy in Surface Mount Technology, Solar, Automation and EV sectors. We recently partnered with IIT Kanpur to establish the “NMTronics Center of Excellence for Electronics Manufacturing and Skill Development.” Our NEST division is committed to innovation by developing cutting-edge software for autonomous systems, building AI tools and developing MES software.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced and dynamic professionals Manager / Senior Manager / Deputy General Manager - Sales & Business Development (SMT Business) to drive sales growth, business expansion, and strategic partnerships within India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), electronics manufacturing processes, and a proven track record of high-value technical sales. The role involves extensive travel across India to develop client relationships, identify business opportunities, and support project implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Development : Drive sales of SMT equipment and automation solutions by identifying new business opportunities and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Market Expansion : Analyse emerging trends in the electronics manufacturing sector to develop market entry and growth strategies across key regions.
  • Customer Engagement : Work closely with OEMs, EMS providers, and manufacturing units to position NMTronics as their preferred technology partner.
  • Solution Selling : Collaborate with technical teams to propose the right mix of SMT solutions based on customer requirements and production goals.
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination : Liaise with global technology partners to align on pricing, product roadmaps, and joint marketing initiatives.
  • Travel & On-Ground Presence : Frequent travel (60–70%) across India for client visits, demonstrations, trade shows, and installations.

Qualifications & Years of experience

  • B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (MBA preferred)
  • Diploma candidates may require 3 years more working experience
  • Manager - Sales & BD : 8–10 years in SMT, electronics manufacturing, or capital equipment sales

    Senior Manager - Sales & BD : 10-12 years in SMT, electronics manufacturing, or capital equipment sales

    Deputy General Manager - Sales & BD : 12-15 years in SMT, electronics manufacturing, or capital equipment sales

    Required Skills

  • Strong technical understanding of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes and equipment — including Pick & Place machines, Reflow Ovens, Screen Printers, AOI, SPI, and Conveyors
  • Proven experience in selling capital equipment or turnkey SMT manufacturing solutions
  • Familiarity with PCB assembly processes, soldering techniques, and line balancing
  • Good knowledge of factory automation systems, robotics, and Industry 4.0 integration
  • Understanding of electronic component handling, material management, and ESD compliance
  • Experience in solution-based and consultative selling for manufacturing systems
  • Exposure to vendor coordination, pricing, and technical documentation preparation
  • Ability to bridge technical discussions between clients, internal engineering teams, and global technology partners

  • Pay range and compensation package :

  • Manager - Sales & BD : 20-25 LPA
  • Senior Manager - Sales & BD : 25-30 LPA
  • Deputy General Manager - Sales & BD : 30-40 LPA
