Job Responsibilities :
We are looking for a strategic and analytical Category Manager to lead the growth and development of specific product categories within our baby product portfolio.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of consumer trends, strong commercial acumen, and experience managing product life cycles from ideation to launch.Product Strategy & Assortment PlanningDevelop and execute end-to-end category strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives and brand positioning.Identify product gaps, new opportunities, and consumer needs across baby care categories.Collaborate with design, R&D, and sourcing teams to build a winning product assortmentMarket Analysis & Consumer InsightsAnalyze industry trends, market dynamics, and customer behavior to guide category growth.Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and identify whitespace opportunities for innovation.Leverage data and consumer feedback to refine product direction.P&L Ownership & Performance OptimizationOwn the P&L for assigned categories – drive revenue, margin, and inventory efficiency.Set sales targets and track category performance through dashboards and regular reviews.Recommend corrective actions based on post-launch analysis and ongoing performance data.Pricing & PromotionsDevelop competitive pricing strategies while ensuring profitability.Collaborate with marketing to design campaigns and offers that boost category sales and visibility.Inventory & Demand PlanningMonitor inventory health, working closely with supply chain teams to optimize stock levels.Plan replenishments, avoid stock out, and manage slow-moving SKUs effectivelyCross-Functional CollaborationAct as a bridge between marketing, design, sales, and operations for cohesive category execution.Provide product training and support to internal teams for effective sales enablement.Partner with sales and e-commerce teams to ensure successful rollout across channels.Education
