The Unit Manager is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and smooth functioning of the hospital unit. The role ensures efficient patient services, operational excellence, staff management, and compliance with hospital policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualification : Master's degree in Hospital Administration.

Experience : 5 to 7 Years in Hospital Operations (Eye Care Experience Preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Administration
- a) Oversee day-to-day operations of the hospital unit (OPD, IPD, OT, Diagnostics, Pharmacy, etc.).
- b) Ensure smooth patient flow, reduced waiting time, and high-quality service delivery.
- c) Monitor departmental coordination — clinical, nursing, optical, pharmacy, insurance, and billing.
- d) Maintain and track key performance indicators (KPI) such as patient volume, satisfaction, and revenue targets.
- e) Manage and maintain hospital infrastructure, housekeeping, security, and facility hygiene.
- Staff Management
- a) Supervise and guide staff including optometrists, counsellors, nurses, technicians, and front office executives.
- b) Prepare duty rosters, leave management, and ensure optimal manpower utilization.
- c) Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
- d) Encourage teamwork, discipline, and positive work culture.
- Patient Care & Service Quality
- a) Ensure excellent patient experience through timely and courteous services.
- b) Handle patient feedback, grievances, and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
- c) Maintain NABH or other quality standards compliance at all times.
- Financial & Inventory Oversight
- a) Support in achieving monthly revenue and expense control targets.
- b) Verify billing, discounts, refunds, and credit approvals as per policy.
- c) Monitor stock levels for pharmacy, consumables, and medical supplies; coordinate with purchase for timely replenishment.
- Coordination & Reporting
- a) Liaise with for HR, finance, marketing, and IT support.
- b) Prepare daily / weekly / monthly reports on patient statistics, revenue, and operations.
- c) Support in audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
- Compliance & Safety
- a) Ensure all hospital activities comply with statutory regulations and hospital policies.
- b) Monitor safety, infection control, and emergency preparedness in the unit.
