Role Summary
The TGT English teacher is responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to Grades 6–10, delivering engaging lessons, strengthening communication skills, and supporting students in academic growth in alignment with CBSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Classroom Delivery
- Teach English Language and Literature for Grades 6–10 as per CBSE curriculum.
- Deliver interactive lessons that enhance reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
- Encourage critical thinking and creative expression.
Assessment & Evaluation
Prepare question papers, assignments, and formative assessments.Evaluate student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.Maintain accurate academic records and support required documentation.Student Development & Support
Conduct enrichment activities such as debates, elocution, reading programs, and group discussions.Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support.Academic Contribution & Collaboration
Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and academic planning.Collaborate with other teachers to ensure curriculum alignment and quality.Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in English.B.Ed mandatory.3–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in CBSE schools.Skills & Competencies
