Lead - National Company Law Tribunal / National Company Law Appellate Tribunal
To lead and manage all legal matters before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), including those related to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) proceedings, corporate restructuring, shareholder disputes, and mergers & amalgamations. The role ensures effective litigation strategy, regulatory compliance, and risk management for complex corporate and insolvency cases.

Lead and manage all NCLT / NCLAT litigation, including IBC, restructuring, and shareholder disputes.Formulate and execute legal strategies for complex insolvency and corporate litigation.Represent the company or coordinate with external counsels before NCLT / NCLAT and appellate forums.Engage with Resolution Professionals (RPs), Committee of Creditors (CoC), and other stakeholders in insolvency proceedings.Advise the Board and senior management on litigation risks, case progress, and strategic options.Ensure compliance with MCA, IBBI, and ROC requirements for corporate actions, restructurings, and insolvency filings.Draft, review, and vet legal documents related to tribunal proceedings, including petitions, replies, and affidavits.Monitor and track key litigation timelines, ensuring effective case preparation and representation.Liaise with regulators, law firms, and internal business teams to align on litigation strategy and business impact.Provide expert legal input during mergers, demergers, and restructuring exercises under company law.Profile & Qualifications :
Education : LL.B. / LL.M. from a reputed institution.Experience : 1825 years of experience in company law, insolvency, and tribunal litigation, preferably in large conglomerates or infrastructure / power sector companies.Expertise :In-depth knowledge of the Companies Act, 2013, and Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016.Proven experience in handling high-value and complex NCLT / NCLAT cases.Strong understanding of corporate restructuring, mergers, and shareholder disputes.Ability to manage external counsels and lead litigation strategy Excellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management.Strategic legal thinking with business acumen.Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.(ref : iimjobs.com)
